Pacific NW Trip 2009, 1st 2 Pages

I completed the title page and one more page from our Pacific Northwest trip to Seattle, Victoria, and Vancouver in May 2009.  It feels great to have gotten so much scrapbooking done today.  I guess that's what happens when you don't feel well and don't feel up to getting off the couch.

Gimme 5!

One of the recent assignments in the online scrapbooking class I am taking is a mini album (8x8) called "Gimme 5."  You are supposed to get the people in your life to give you 5 things that describe themselves and do a layout about each of them.  I have only done pages for me and Bill so far, but I plan to do them for my family too.

Here's the title page:

And here are the filler pages for me and Bill:

Dim Sum... Yum!

We went for Dim Sum this morning in Boston and then I did this layout this evening (ah, the joys of digital scrapbooking).  I made Bill take the pictures at the Dim Sum restaurant since I didn't want to tote my DSLR around and he did a good job of it.  He remembered to take a lot more pictures than I would have.  He's a very good scrapbooker husband.

Another one done today!

I got another one layout done today!  I'm not sure what I think about it, but at least it is done.

This layout is from our annual family weekend in N. Woodstock, NH.  I have two more layouts to do from this trip, one from Bill & I river kayaking on Saturday and one from all of us hanging out at the pool on Sunday (got some fun pictures with my underwater camera in the pool).

Finally got to create another layout!

After being away for most of last week for a business trip, I've finally managed to spend some time scrapbooking today.  I am planning to do some more this afternoon, so hopefully I'll have another to post later, plus some pics from The Alamo, which I took while I was in San Antonio on business.  So, don't forget to check back later.

At the suggestion of the online class I am taking right now, today's layout focused on a specific person in my life, in this case, my husband, Bill (or Billy as I like to call him).

Another Completed Layout!

I've completed another digital layout.  I think it could probably use a bit more flair, but I will call it done for now.  I am trying 8 1/2 x 11 format because of the online class I am doing right now.  Not sure if I will ever print this one and put it in an album since my albums are all 12x12.

Merry Christmas to Me! (a little late)

I ordered myself a belated Christmas present (not really, but that sounds like a good excuse to buy myself something new, right?) on Saturday and it arrived today from B&H Photo (www.bhphotovideo.com).  It's the Canon Pixma Pro9000 Mark II Large Format Photo Printer.  It can print up to 13 x 19 prints.  I'm planning to use it to print 12x12 digital layouts, 4x6 prints and enlargements to use on paper layouts, and 11x17 and 13x19 enlargements (mostly travel photographs) to decorate my home.

It hasn't made it out of the box yet and I still have to finish cleaning off the table in my craft room where I plan for it to live (it definitely needs a lot of space), so it might be a few days before I can post about how great it prints, but I hope I will be able to soon.
